There are some decisions in life that can be very hard. I think one of the hardest questions you can be asked is who would you take : 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick or Seahawks’ front man Russell Wilson? This isn’t a question of who’s better because both of these boys can flat out play football, just saying if you had a choice who you taking?
First let’s look back at last time the 49ers and Seahawks faced off with those two as the starting quarterbacks. I remember watching only the first half of that game because it was pretty much already over early. The Seahawks made the 9ers look like a group of scrubs. I remember watching Kaepernick run for dear life as the Seahawks defense continuously crashed in. While Kaepernick was struggling (he somehow still looked like a beast though), Wilson was just throwing touchdowns like it was nothing. If you didn’t know the Seahawks won. Of course the 49ers got the last laugh in the end as they made it all the way to the Superbowl, only to lose to the Baltimore Ravens.
Now we get to see them face off again this Sunday which will surely be a must see battle. As good as week 1 was, this is the first big game of the season. You can already anticipate that the bars will be flooded for this one. It’s a classic battle of the titans as you have the rebel Kaepernick vs the robot Wilson. Two players that are so different off the field but on the field bring the same thing. A nasty throwing arm and winning games. I’m not going to go in and compare their stats because like I’ve said before stats aren’t everything. The only stat that matters at the end of the day is the teams overall record and right now both teams are even after picking up week 1 wins.
I know one thing and that is that Kaepernick and Wilson will be around for a while. These are just two of the new era beast quarterbacks. One day all those old heads (Manning, Brady) will retire and these are the guys we’ll be watching. If your like me you cant wait until this showdown, but trust me it wont be the last because these two are something special. But like I said at the beginning who you taking?
