Knicks on a Rocky Road to the Post Season

Knicks on a Rocky Road to the Post Season

Mar 19, 2013

It was once thought the New York Knicks were a considerable threat in the East, the Knicks have seen their stars battle injury after injury. With Amare Stoudemire coming back from injury after the regular season had begun, he is out again…Triumph! This is depressing because he was thriving to get back on track. The duo of Stoudemire and Anthony hasn’t seen enough of each other to be ready to be contenders in the East. Carmelo Anthony, the Knick’s Golden Child, has been battling with a knee injury. Although the Knicks have a star studded roster, they won’t make it far without the golden child. Lets not forget the man in the middle and cornerstone to their defense, Tyson Chandler. Tyson Chandler has had his recent battles with injury (back and neck issues), his defensive presence is also the key to the Knicks success.

The Knicks are (39-26) overall and (24-13) against teams in their conference. They are 2-1 against the defending Champs Miami Heat…who is continuing to pound the league with win after win. Without a healthy roster they won’t have to worry about putting pressure on the Heat’s chances of repeating as the Eastern Conference Champions.

If the playoffs started today, the New York Knicks would take on the Chicago Bulls (36-30). Currently the Chicago Bulls leads the series 3-0 with one more matchup between the two teams during the regular season.

Let’s hope the injury bug leave the Knicks locker room so that the Knicks fans can see their team contend for what they brought the star studded cast together for.
