Chicago Bulls at Brooklyn Nets – April 22, 2013

Chicago came out blazing at the opening tipoff, the Nets found themselves playing catchup the entire game. The explosiveness that was present in Game 1 by Brooklyn was not there in Game 2. Deron Williams only scored eight points on 1 of 9 from the field in Game 2. Whereas in Game 1, Williams and Brook Lopez outscored Chicago alone in the first half. In Game 2, Lopez had a productive game with 21 points, 5 rebounds, 3 blocks but as you know it takes more than one person alone to beat a team; especially in the playoffs and especially when the other team in getting 42 points in the paint.

There were times when you thought Brooklyn was going to take the game over but the Bulls had an answer although they were outscored in the fourth quarter by the Nets.

Final score: Chicago 90 – 82.
Series Tied: 1 – 1

Memphis Grizzlies at LA Clippers – April 22, 2013

This was a game of the guards. Memphis’ Mike Conley scored 28 points, 3 Red, 9 Ast, 2 Stl while Clippers’ Chris Paul score 24 points, 4 Reb, 9 Ast, 1 Stl to lead their teams.

Momentum was on the Clippers side in the first two quarters, and it was a grind game from there to the very end. The game was close in the fourth quarter and could have went either way. If you were like me, with a few seconds left and the score tied at 91-91, you thought the game was going into overtime. Then the little guy that was the spark of the game, took it upon himself to carry his team to victory. The game came down to a shot at the buzzer by Paul, to secure a win for the Clippers.

Final Score: LA Clippers 93 – 91.
Series: Clippers 2 – 0
