With their back against the wall in a pivotal Game 4 with the Spurs leading the series 2-1, the Miami Heat Big 3 came out aggressive early. Heat’s LeBron James said that the team is at their best when their backs are against the wall, this proved to be true once again. The team is 6-0 in the postseason after a loss.

Erik Spoelstra and the Heat switched things up to start the game with Mike Miller starting in place of Udonis Haslem. After a dreadful Game 3 by James, LeBron vowed to be much better in Game 4. That he was. But he also had help. In the first half, the Heat’s big three had 37 of the team’s 49 points.

Dwyane Wade seem to have taken a drink from the fountain of youth, because he looked like the old Wade with the lift and aggressiveness from years prior. Chris Bosh vowed to not take any three pointers this series and he was very effective in the paint this game. Bosh finished with 20pts, 13rebs, 2blks.

For the Spurs, Tony Parker (15 points) was the one that keep them in the game in the first half with big plays after the Heat were up by double digits. Turnovers were an issue that plague the San Antonio Spurs (19 TOs) the entire game. Gary Neal and Danny Green hit three pointers like they did in Game 3 but the Heat kept their composure and responded every time.

Tony Parker was scoreless in the second half, Tim Duncan finished with 20pts, 5rebs, 3TOs, and Ginobili shot 1/5 for 5 points.

LeBron James and Dwyane Wade put up 25 shots each, which was another difference in this game. James finished with 33pts, 11rebs, 4 asts, 2 stls, 2 blks and Wade finished with 32pts, 6rebs, 4asts, 6stls. Ray Allen provided a big spark off the bench for the Heat, scoring 14 points.

The Heat’s Big 3 finished with 85 points of Miami’s 109 points. The Spurs’ Big 3 finished with 40 of San Antonio’s 93 points. The Miami Heat’s Big 3 were superior to the Spurs’ Big 3 in Game 4.

Final score: Heat 109 – Spurs 93.

Series tied 2-2. Game 5 Sunday in San Antonio.
