The NBA off season came and went for guard/forward Stephen Jackson. After being waived by the San Antonio Spurs just a few days before the playoffs started (and having a washed up Tracy McGrady replace him), Stack Jack has been a free agent since. No training camp invites or anything, for Jackson, which was surprising.

The Los Angeles Clippers have been hit with a lot of injuries lately. JJ Reddick, Matt Barnes and now the rookie Reggie Bullock have all been bit by the injury bug, and all these players will be out for a little bit of time.

So with injuries to the bulk of their wing players the Clippers decided to sign the veteran Stephen Jackson. He only missed the playoffs and the first month of the NBA season but it felt like hes been gone so much longer. Now he gets the chance to prove that he can still run in the NBA.

I think this is going to be a great move for the Clippers. Jackson pretty much does what all the small forwards for the Clippers do combined. He can shoot the rock (Jared Dudley, Reggie Bullock) and can defend (Matt Barnes). Oh yeah and this guy is completely crazy and isn’t afraid to speak his mind. Jackson will bring that toughness that’s been missing since Matt Barnes got injured.

Lets be honest here the Clippers aren’t known as a tough team and Jackson can bring that to the team. He can be a wing scorer as well (he jacks like crazy) and he will play some decent defense. With the injuries to the Clippers wings Stephen Jackson should come in and do work. He plays both ends of the floor, he’s best friends with 2 Chainz and he raps. I’m glad Stephen Jackson is back, he should do pretty good in LA.

Was good though, it's me Everick Davis Jr. Born and raised in Portsmouth Virginia, I'm currently a senior at the University of North Carolina Greensboro. I watch every sport (not so much golf) but I am huge on the NBA. My favorite players right now are J.R. Smith, Russell Westbrook & Nick Young. Drinking beer and watching sports is my favorite past time and I do it year round! I used to play basketball on the regular until everyone else kept growing and I still stood at 5'6. So that's when I channeled my efforts into becoming the next Stephen A Smith or anything close to that. I currently write for "The Carolinian" newspaper in Greensboro, NC and intern for http://theurbantwist.com/ Random Fact about me, I love anime, my favorite one is One Piece! Second random fact, I got beatz! check me out http://www.reverbnation.com/ielabs
