Okay let me break down this play. With the defense rushing right at him, Geno Smith had a decision to make. He could of thrown the football on the ground to end the play. Maybe he could of actually tried to run the ball. Hell he could of tried to run out of bounds. Welp instead of doing something productive with the football, Geno decided that he was Stephen Curry and essentially tried to do a behind the back crossover and throw the ball with his other hand. Only problem is he didn’t get to finish his crossover and was sacked with the ball behind his back. Oh yeah then and he was right near the Titans touchdown line, so after the fumble we got hit with a gold ole touchdown.
This just shows more of how dysfunctional football in New York has been. The Jets haven’t been as garbage as one would think with Geno as quarterback as they do have a 2-2 record, but that’s still not very good. It’s sad that the Jets haven’t been dealing with Mr Butt Fumble himself, Mark Sanchez this season but had to watch their new quarterback create his own butt fumble which was equally as bad to me. At least Sanchez was trying to run a play, Geno tried to get fancy and cost the team a touchdown.
Now the question is how much longer will Smith be the starting QB? We all understand he’s a rookie but there have been some pretty beast ass QB’s in recent years who haven’t let their rookie status hold them down. Either way they go I want Geno playing as much as possible, its obvious that this season is going to be rough for the Jets anyway so why not give the rookie some run. You know besides the interceptions, and fumbles and bad throwing percentage, he’s a solid player. Plus if hes making plays like this I gotta have this guy on the field.
