Unlike other sports, there is one very most important position in football; and that’s the quarterback. If your quarterback isn’t up to par and playing at an elite level then you can probably kiss any chance of contending for the playoffs out the window. It’s safe to say that the best player on your team should be the quarterback.
Well that’s the case for the Seattle Seahawks right now as they are the top team in the NFL with a 11-1 record and were the first team to clinch a playoff spot this season. With Russell Wilson as the teams top contributor, I think Wilson should be a contender for MVP of the season.
I know what people will say: what about Tom Brady or what about Peyton Manning?
Well umm there’s sorta other quarterbacks in the league then just them two. I understand that both of them are legends and will go down in the Hall of Fame for sure, but if someone else is performing at a high level they deserve that credit. We can’t discredit a star player of today because legends are a having good seasons as well.
I’m not even saying that Wilson is having a better season that either player but I am saying that right now his team is having a better season then any other one right now.
Who cares that this is only his second year in the NFL, he plays and carries himself like a polished veteran. If your not convinced check out the stats: http://www.nfl.com/player/russellwilson/2532975/profile
To put things simple, this guy is nice. He’s leading him team to the best record in the NFL, and he’s only in his second season. I would vote for him if I could, Russell Wilson is just that good.
