The Miami Heat have been waiting around for about a week to see who they’ll face in the second round of the playoffs. While the Tornto Raptors and Brooklyn Nets faced off for seven games we were treated to a show. Unfortunately for the Raptors, Kyle Lowry’s game winner was swatted away by Paul Pierce which sent them home. Now the Heat will face the Brooklyn Nets in the conference semifinals.
This fact up will definitely be a test for the Heat as this Brooklyn team has had their number all year. The Nets won all four heated contest with the Heat this year. Miami has this thing were sometimes they don’t play hard but can always turn it on. Some might say that they’ll turn it on for the playoffs but it still won’t be that easy for them. The Nets play a small ball lineup that matches up well with the defending champs. Also they have a gang of scorers on their side.
The real difficult part for the Heat will be a few of the players on the Nets roster. For years LeBron James and company have battled Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett in some of best games of every year. Way back when LeBron was on the Cavaliers and Pierce and KG balled for the Boston Celtics the two teams had it out. Then when LeBron moved to the Heat the rivalry followed behind LeBron and has continued. No other player goes right at Lebron like Paul Pierce as the two always have fierce battles. This series shouldn’t be any difference.
This series should be very good. If we’re lucky it’ll follow the way most of the first round went and go seven games.
