Floyd Mayweather Jr. v. Robert Guerrero

Floyd Mayweather Jr. v. Robert Guerrero

May 3, 2013

Boxing fans are excited about the Saturday night bout between Floyd “Money” Mayweather Jr. and Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero. Mayweather insists that he has had a great training camp and will be ready to go Saturday even though he hasn’t had a fight in over a year. On the other note, Guerrero gets his wish for a fight with Mayweather but will he make the best of this occasion?

Guerrero is a southpaw and believes that it will help him against Mayweather since Mayweather has had problems with the southpaw in the past. Guerrero is coming off a fight against Andre Berto, two-time welterweight titleholder, and believes that he is even more prepared than ever for the throw down with Mayweather.

Many people argue that Mayweather is not going up against any contenders of his stature therefore he will continue to win because of his fight selection. One thing for sure is that Mayweather and his money team will surely entertain. Even more than a fighter, Mayweather is a businessman. The pay-per-view king signed a 6-fight deal, in 30 months with Showtime worth over $200 million. Athletes can learn a thing or two from “Money” Mayweather.

The battle of the dads (Mayweather Sr. and Ruben Guerrero) has been simmering all week and on Saturday things will get even more interesting.

Prediction: Mayweather won’t be denied.
