Toronto Might Be In Over Their Heads

Poor Kyle Lowry, he tried so hard. The Raptors dropped the first game of the series versus the Nets on their home floor in what looks to be an interesting series. Lowry put on a show but DeMar Derozen and Terrence Ross were essentially no shows. On the other side of things the Nets had a few first half no shows but then in the 4th quarter Paul Pierce showed up big time. The Nets showed that having a few former all stars in a pretty big advantage as they can go to multiple players when needed be. The Nets have weapons that the Raptors don’t and oh yeah a lot of playoff experience.

The Clippers Need Blake Griffin

The Clippers-Warriors contest was ridiculous with the amount of fouls called on both ends. Both the Warriors Andre Iguodala and the Clippers Blake Griffin fouled out of the game. While Iguodala plays a big role for the Warriors, his production was replaced and the Warriors came out on top. For the Clippers, Blakes production was not replaced. Sure Chris Paul took on the scoring load and DeAndre Jordan was good on the glass, but there was just that offensive punch missing for most of the contest when Griffin was off the floor. If the Clippers want to win this series and go the distance in the playoffs it all starts and finishes with Blake Griffin.

The Pacers Might Be In Trouble

The Atlanta Hawks are not a good team. They have good players (Jeff Teague, Paul Millsap, etc) and play together but they aren’t a good team. What the Hawks have going for them is they cause a match up problem for the Pacers with their versatile big men. With all that being said, the Pacers have the number one seed in the East and should not be having problems in teh first round with Atlanta but they already dropped the first game of the series. The problems that Indiana showed at the end of the season are still there and if they don’t tighten up and play together we might be looking at an upset.

Durant & Westbrook Combination Is Best In the League

The Memphis Grizzlies are a tough team that would give anybody a hard time in the playoffs. Last year when Russell Westbrook went down the Grizzlies ran threw the Thunder. Now that Durant has his partner in crime back for the post season the Thunder look like they have no problems. The Thunder ran threw the Grizzlies last night and that could very well happen for the rest of the series as well, having the best one two punch in the NBA helps.

Was good though, it's me Everick Davis Jr. Born and raised in Portsmouth Virginia, I'm currently a senior at the University of North Carolina Greensboro. I watch every sport (not so much golf) but I am huge on the NBA. My favorite players right now are J.R. Smith, Russell Westbrook & Nick Young. Drinking beer and watching sports is my favorite past time and I do it year round! I used to play basketball on the regular until everyone else kept growing and I still stood at 5'6. So that's when I channeled my efforts into becoming the next Stephen A Smith or anything close to that. I currently write for "The Carolinian" newspaper in Greensboro, NC and intern for http://theurbantwist.com/ Random Fact about me, I love anime, my favorite one is One Piece! Second random fact, I got beatz! check me out http://www.reverbnation.com/ielabs
